Display Preferences: Neurons

If a box is checked, displays the object.

Cell bodies are displayed as filled contours. If the box is not checked, the cell bodies are displayed as wire frame contours.

Displays text labels for branch endings are displayed.

The endings include: N = normal, I = incomplete, L = low, H= high, M = midpoint, O = origin, G = generated.

Use when stitching branched structures between sections (e.g., lows can be matched to highs).

Displays a small filled circle at the location of nodes (branch points) the same color as the branch.

If you can't see the node, increase its size under Node Style.

Displaying a node helps to visualize where branched structures are joined, but the nodes may obscure small structures and other details that lie close to the nodes.

Tree structures are displayed so that each branch order has a specific color. Branch Ordering

The colors indicated in the Neuron Structure Colors box are assigned to each branch. If the box is not checked, all branches have the same color.

The top color is assigned to order 1 branches, the next color is assigned to order 2 branches and so forth. If the end of list is reached (Color 14) and more colors are needed, the colors are reused.

There are 14 colors that Neurolucida cycles through to display the traced structures. This means that the 1st and the 15th structure have the same color.

Change: Select a different marker.

Adjust style and size.
